The main objective of the Wild North project is to find ways to contribute to the sustainable development of wildlife tourism in the Northern Periphery, and thereby ensure the trade’s foundations, the livelihood of its workers and the long term integrity of natural resources.
The project participants are tourism companies that specialize in natural based tourism/wildlife tourism, official entities, and various research institutions. Wild North is an international project with partners in Iceland, The Faroe Islands, Greenland and Norway. The project's consultants come from Scotland and Iceland.
